Letter, 1812 November 21.

Letter from Benjamin Taylor to Stephen Van Rensselaer thanking him for the rental of a lot of land in New York City. He discusses the use of the lot as a shop to develop a horseless carriage, and offers him patronage of the invention. Included is a newspaper clipping describing a test run of the machine which states that it reached a speed of 6 miles per hour. Written at New York, N.Y.
